Wrought Iron handicraft is also known as “Pitva Art “ is an Ancient art form, made by a Tribal community of Bastar, Chhattisgarh. They use mostly waste iron pieces, manually cut using a chisel and hammer, and heat them using charcoal to form a shape. All the arts are made of a single piece of metal sheet by the manual hammering of a hot metal piece. No Welding machine or a cutting machine is used to make an artifact and that makes these a true handicrafts.
